WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Wingnuts (11-6) defeated the El Paso Diablos (5-11) 9-2 at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium on Monday night.

Wingnuts' starting pitcher Ryan Hinson improved to 14-6 lifetime at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium, allowing two earned runs on just four hits over eight strong innings. Hinson walked two, struck out three, and retired 11 of 12 batters from the fourth inning through the seventh.

Trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Wichita scored five runs to take control of the game. C.J. Ziegler led off and blasted a line drive home run to deep left-center to knot the score at 1-1. Ziegler lined a two-run double off the top of the left field wall in the bottom of the seventh to make it 7-2 Wingnuts.
