'Cakes Win Series Opener

New Orleans Baby Cakes News Release
LAS VEGAS - Eddy Alvarez hit a home run and went three for three driving in four runs and scoring two in the New Orleans Baby Cakes 8-7 win over the Las Vegas Aviators.
The teams went back and forth with scoring in the game. The Aviators had the lead twice in the late innings and surrendered both leads. The 'Cakes grabbed the lead for good in the eighth scoring three runs off of AJ Puk.
The two run single from Alvarez put the 'Cakes on top 8-7. Brett Graves earned his first triple-a win out of the bullpen and RJ Alvarez pitched the ninth for his 14th save.
The 'Cakes were out hit 13-6 but took advantage of three errors.
GAME NOTES- The 'Cakes improved to 19-9 in series openers.
