SAN ANTONIO - New Orleans scored a pair of tenth inning runs in a come from behind win to take the first game of the series 5-3 in San Antonio. New Orleans has won three in a row and handed the Missions their seventh consecutive defeat.

The Missions sent eight batters to the plate in the first inning and scored a pair of runs. David Freitas and Tyrone Taylor each with an RBI. Starter Nick Neidert worked out of the inning as the Missions left the bases loaded.

New Orleans answered with a Yadiel Rivera three run home run in the second inning to take a 3-2 advantage.

The pitchers settled down and neither team scored until the eighth inning when Taylor hammered a solo home run to tie the game at three.

In the tenth inning the 'Cakes Magneuris Sierra drilled a line drive off the pitcher Angel Perdomo. The pitcher recovered picking the ball up and throwing it over the first baseman allowing the designated runner to score and Sierra to advance to third base. Sierra scored on a double from Eddy Alvarez and Brett Graves earned the win in relief.

The 'Cakes improve to a season high twelve games over .500 and have won six consecutive road-games. New Orleans is 66-54 and 6 1/2 games back of Round Rock.

GAME NOTES- The 'Cakes improve to 4-8 in extra innings. New Orleans is 35-25 in road games and are 21-10 in series openers.
