C Seby Zavala activated off the DL

Catcher Seby Zavala, who has appeared in 17 games with the Knights this season, was activated off the disabled today. He was placed on the team's DL on July 16 (retroactive to July 14). He is hitting .227 (15-for-66) with the Knight since his promotion from Double-A Birmingham on June 21st.

OF Jacob May was released today by the Chicago White Sox organization. May, who was drafted by the White Sox in the third round of the June 2013 First-Year Player Draft, was hitting .255 (80-for-314) with 30 runs scored, 19 doubles, one triple, two home runs, 30 RBIs, and 15 stolen bases in 81 games this season. His 15 steals were good for fourth in the International League this season. May has appeared in parts of three seasons with the Knights (2016-18) for a total of 274 games and is third all-time in franchise history with 65 stolen bases.
