DURHAM, NC - The Durham Bulls managed just two hits in a 5-0 loss to the Gwinnett Braves Sunday evening at the DBAP, as Gwinnett completed the three-game sweep.

Southpaw Greg Smith (4-4) turned in a strong outing for the visitors, surrendering just two singles over six innings, before a pair of relievers held Durham hitless over the final three frames. Righty Bradin Hagens (1-3) took the loss, despite allowing just one run on two hits and four walks over 5 1/3 frames.

In the fourth inning Gwinnett (56-51) broke the deadlock, scoring a run on a two-out single by Jordan Lennerton. The 1-0 score held until the eighth, when the G-Braves opened the contest up by plating three runs behind four singles, an error and a wild pitch. In the ninth Gwinnett plated one more when Joey Terdoslavich delivered an RBI single with two outs.

Richie Shaffer and Luke Maile each tallied a hit for Durham (52-56), as the Bulls were shut out for the eighth time this season, and second time in six games against the G-Braves over the last seven days.

Durham continues its 10-game homestand Monday when they play the first of four games against the Indianapolis Indians. RHP Matt Andriese (2-2, 2.39) is scheduled to make the start for Durham against RHP Radhames Liz (3-3, 1.02) for Indianapolis. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
