Today's Game
This afternoon, the Bisons take on the Pawtucket Red Sox in the final game of a three-game series at Coca-Cola Field (1:05 p.m.). The teams have split the first two games of the set with each club picking up a late one-run victory. The Herd has won 12 of its last 15 contests and will start a roadtrip Tuesday in Charlotte after Monday's off day.
vs. Red Sox
The Bisons are 8-3 against the Red Sox this season. The Bisons have picked up series wins in each of the first three matchups and can do so again with a win today. The PawSox will return to Coca-Cola Field for a two-game series, August 27-28.
Jeff Francis
LHP JEFF FRANCIS makes his ninth start for the Bisons today. The lefty is coming off his fifth start of shutout baseball this year. He tossed seven scoreless frames to defeat Syracuse last Tuesday, striking out four and walking none. In his eight starts, Francis has a 0.98 ERA with six walks in 46.0 innings. He made his Bisons debut on April 15 with five shutout innings in a 2-0 win over Pawtucket in Buffalo.

INF MATT HAGUE was named the International League Player of the Month for July yesterday. The veteran hit .376 (44-117) with four homers, 27 RBI and a .985 OPS in 28 games last month. Hague added to his league-best RBI total last night (76) and continues to top the IL in average (.346), hits (141) and on-base pct. (.426).
Andy Burns
INF ANDY BURNS brings a loud nine-game hit streak into action tonight. The Triple-A rookie has averaged .447 (14-38) with four doubles and six RBI in July 24. Burns has had multiple hits in seven of the nine games during the stretch, giving him 28 multi-hit games this year.
Bisons Bits
OF ALEX HASSAN has had two or more hits in six straight contests, averaging .467 (14-30) since July 26. He's now hitting .313 in his first 43 games with the Herd...Since his return from New Hampshire (AA), OF DALTON POMPEY has averaged .368 (25-68) with 18 runs scored in just 16 games...INF LUKE SCOTT has been activated off the disabled list. He has not played since July 18.
Blue Jays Update
The Blue Jays (53-52) lost to the Royals, 7-6, on Sunday. Jose Bautista homered twice, but Kansas City scored three times in the eighth inning. Toronto has already announced that tomorrow's debut of David Price is sold out. Today, the club has R.A. Dickey on the hill against the Royals (1:07 p.m.).
