MEMPHIS, TN - Bulls left fielder Niko Hulsizer homered and second baseman Jonathan Aranda drove in two runs in Durham's 5-3 victory over the Memphis Redbirds on Friday evening at Autozone Park.

Shortstop Tristan Gray put the Bulls on the board in the second with his 31st RBI, before right fielder Ruben Cardenas extended Durham's to 2-0. Hulsizer smashed a 433ft homer out to center field, followed by Aranda's 2-run RBI to solidify the Bulls' 5-0 lead.

Memphis answered in the fourth when RF Moises Gomez drove in a run, and SS Taylor Motter knocked a 2-run RBI.

Bulls starter Nathan Wiles (5.0 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 4 SO) earned the victory, while Redbirds' starter Tommy Parsons (5.0 IP, 8 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 3 BB, 5 SO) suffered the defeat.

The two teams are set to continue their series on Saturday night, with first pitch scheduled for 7:35pm ET. LHP Jacob Lopez is anticipated to get the nod for Durham and be opposed by LHP Zack Thompson.

Durham returns home to Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Tuesday, June 13 to start a six-game homestand with the Charlotte Knights, the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. First pitch of the series opener is set for 6:35pm.
