ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Just hours before dropping the puck to start training camp, the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL made a late addition to their roster by signing center Chad Theuer. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Theuer, 25, enters his second professional season after splitting time in 2002-03 between Pensacola and Greenville. Despite the movement, the Clarkston, MI native still enjoyed a very productive rookie campaign with 10 goals and 35 assists in 67 games.

"Theuer is a kid with great speed," said Head Coach Mike Haviland. "He's going to remind our fans a lot of Carl Corazzini.

Theuer was one of the top scorers in all of NCAA Division 1 hockey in 2001-02 at Northern Michigan. In 40 games that season, he tallied 16 goals and 39 assists in leading the Wildcats to a 26-12-2 record and the CCHA semifinals. In 165 games at Northern Michigan, Theuer netted 45 goals and 103 assists.

The Bullies also agreed to terms with several players who were invited to camp. Defensemen Steve Munn, Dave Reid, and Danny Eberly all signed contracts as did forwards Pierre-Luc Sleigher, Matt Hubbauer, Peter Bournazakis, and Brian Collins.

The defending ECHL Kelly Cup Champion Boardwalk Bullies open Season Three against the Texas Wildcatters on Friday, October 17, at Boardwalk Hall.
