Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the New York Islanders, have announced the acquisition of forward Jean-Francois Plourde from the Greenville Grrrowl in exchange for defenseman Tom Reimann. Plourde is expected to make his Bullies debut when Atlantic City opens their season-long nine-day, five game road trip at 7PM Friday at Johnstown.

Plourde, 23, has 11 goals and 23 points through 46 games this season and recorded a career-high four points with a goal and three assists in Greenville's 8-7 shootout victory over Trenton last Friday. The second-year professional from Gaspe, PQ was a 2004 ECHL All-Star selection for the Columbus Cottonmouths last season and finished sixth overall on the team in scoring with 20 goals and 39 points in 65 games.

"In JF, we believe we're getting a dynamic offensive player that will add more depth to our front line," said Head Coach Matt Thomas. "Games like he displayed last Friday (at Trenton) shows what a tremendous upside he has and I think he can be a valuable asset to our club."

Reimann had five assists and six points in 11 games for Atlantic City since he was acquired from Florida on February 4.

The Bullies open a season-long nine-day, five-game road trip at 7PM Friday at Johnstown. Catch all the action live on ESPN Radio 1450AM and the SurferNetwork beginning with "Bullies Countdown" at 6:40PM.

Atlantic City returns to Historic Boardwalk Hall at 7:05PM on Friday, March 18 as they welcome the Peoria Rivermen. For more information or to order tickets, call (609) 348-PUCK.
