Green Bay Rockers News Release
The 'Frogs won again on Tuesday night, taking game two of a three game set against Wisconsin Rapids by a score of 6-2 at Witter Field.
The Rafters' only two runs of the ballgame came in the first inning. Pat Kelly drove home Jordan Dreiling and Sean Godfrey on a two-run double down the left field line to give Wisconsin Rapids a 2-0 lead.
Green Bay didn't delay its comeback effort. After Chris Hoo reached on an error, Kevin Krause hit his first home run as a Bullfrog to left-center field to tie up the game at 2-2. Jason McMurray came in to score late in the inning when Clayton Eslick took a bases loaded walk to give Green Bay a 3-2 lead.
The 'Frogs held the lead throughout the rest of the game. They tacked on two in the fifth and one more in the eighth to make the score the eventual final, 6-2.
Bryce Bellin (2-2) earned the victory for Green Bay. He gave up two earned runs over seven innings of work while striking out five batters. He was relieved by Mac Acker who walked two over one and one third of an inning. Will Landsheft entered with two on and just one out to earn a save. This was his fourth save of the year.
The 'Frogs are now 17-10 on the season. LaCrosse also won on Tuesday, leaving Green Bay three games out of first place with eight games to play in the first half of the season.
