Music Star Susan Tedeschi to Perform 7th-Inning Stretch

Madison, WI - June 26, 2012. Blues and soul music star Susan Tedeschi will be singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the 7th-inning stretch tonight as the Mallards take on the Wisconsin Woodchucks at the "Duck Pond."

Tedeschi is in Madison for the Tedeschi Trucks Band show tomorrow, June 27th, at the Overture Center. That show will start at 7:30 pm and tickets are still available.

Tedeschi has received multiple grammy nominations for her work and won the 2012 Grammy Award for Best Blues Album for Relevator. Tedeschi and her husband Derek Trucks (slide guitarist for Allman Brothers Band) formed the Tedeschi Trucks Band in 2010. The group has performed at festivals including Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival and Fuji Rock Festival.

The Mallards play at the "Duck Pond" tonight June 26th for the second game of their three game series with the Woodchucks. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm. Tonight will be Zombie Night at the "Duck Pond."

The Madison Mallards are part of the 16-team Northwoods League. The Northwoods League has more teams, plays more games, and draws more fans than any other Summer Collegiate League in North America.
