Green Bay, Wis.- The Green Bay Bullfrogs put together a complete performance on Saturday night, as they defeated the Madison Mallards 8-1 at Joannes Stadium.

The Bullfrogs recorded 14 hits in the game, and eight of the nine players in the Bullfrogs' starting lineup had hits including four multi-hit performances.

Tyler McDowell finished 3-for-4 with a run scored. Matthew De La Rosa, Ryan Donovan and Caleb Ratzman each had two hits as well.

Ryan Radue started for the Bullfrogs and pitched four innings, allowed one run on two hits, three walks and struck out three. Connor Donovan earned the win with two scoreless innings in relief. He allowed two hits, a walk and struck out a batter.

Ben Messenger, Sam Brunner and Jeremy Graf each threw a scoreless inning of work for the Bullfrogs.

Green Bay pitchers benefited by several great plays on defense throughout the game, including three consecutive inning-ending double plays in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings.

With runners on first and third and two outs in the top of the third, Cameron Frost singled to score a run and give Madison an early 1-0 lead.

Green Bay began the bottom of the inning with three consecutive singles and scored three runs to take the lead. Logan Taylor, who made his debut for the Bullfrogs, singled to begin the third, stole second, advanced to third base on De La Rosa's single and scored on a RBI single by Donovan.

De La Rosa also scored on Donovan's single due to an error, and Donovan made it all the way to third. Donovan scored on a base hit for Franco Guardascione.

The Bullfrogs scored two in the fourth with a two-RBI double from De La Rosa and plated three more in the following inning. Caleb Ratzman had a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth, and Jack Strunc knocked in two more runs to give Green Bay an 8-1 advantage.

The Bullfrogs will take on the Mallards again tomorrow at 1:05 for Luxemburg Pet Clinic Bark in the Park Day. Fans can bring their dog to the ballpark for Sunday's contest and receive a green dog bandana that features the Bullfrogs' logo, courtesy of Luxemburg Pet Clinic.

Kids will have the opportunity to run the bases at the conclusion of the game and receive a coupon for a small fry from Arby's.

Also following the game, the Human Cannonball will be performing. David "The Bullet" Smith will launch himself out of a cannon from centerfield and land in a net placed on home plate.
