
Bulldogs Sweep Monsters With 4-3 Win

Cleveland, OH - The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Lake Erie Monsters 4-3 at Quicken Loans Arena on Saturday evening. With the win, the 'Dogs won both games of their home and home with the Monsters and are now on a three-game win streak.
The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead at 14:46 of the first frame. Brock Trotter intercepted the puck in front of Lake Erie's net before backhanding a shot past Lake Erie starting goaltender Jason Bacashihua. While on a two-man advantage, the 'Dogs added their second goal of the period at 16:25. Mike Glumac potted his team-leading 16th goal of the season after receiving the puck from David Desharnais and snapping a shot that beat Bacashihua. With the assist, Desharnais increased his point streak to eight games.
Lake Erie cut the lead in half at 17:35 with a shorthanded marker. Nigel Williams sent the puck to T.J. Galiardi who fired a shot that squeaked through the pads of Hamilton starting goaltender Loic Lacasse.
The Monsters tied the game 2-2 with a power-play marker at 16:20 of the middle frame. Chris Durno received the puck from Galiardi before blasting a shot from the blue line that sailed through traffic and past Lacasse. Lake Erie earned its first lead of the game at 18:44. Tom Fritsche collected a loose puck at the front of Hamilton's goal. Fritsche buried the puck underneath Lacasse to give the Monsters a 3-2 lead.
Yanick Lehoux tied the game 3-3 at 9:22 of the final frame. Brock Trotter turned the puck over in Lake Erie's zone before sending a pass to Mathieu Carle. Carle sent the puck to Lehoux, who rifled a shot past Bacashihua. The Bulldogs took a 4-3 lead at 14:50. While positioned in the high slot, Ryan White ripped a shot that slipped through the legs of Bacashihua and into the back of the net.
