GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Four different players scored and Daniel Larsson made 27 saves for his fifth shutout of the year as the Grand Rapids Griffins took a 4-0 win over the Philadelphia Phantoms on Saturday night at Van Andel Arena.

The Griffins fired 21 shots on Phantoms goaltender Michael Teslak in the first period, but only one got past - a bid by Mattias Ritola, who picked up a loose puck in front and fired it high over a fallen Teslak 8:36 into the period, making it 1-0 at the first intermission.

Much like last night, the Phantoms found themselves in penalty trouble in the second period, and the Griffins took advantage with a power play goal that expanded their lead to 2-0 at the 4:40 mark. Ville Leino was patient on the right side and waited for Justin Abdelkader to arrive in the slot before playing a pass that Abdelkader deflected past Teslak to double the lead.

The Griffins then moved ahead 3-0 on another setup by Leino, who was in the right circle again as Grand Rapids came in on a rush. This time it was Aaron Downey who was the recipient of the feed. The winger came in as the trailer and blasted a slapshot past Teslak for just his second goal of the year at the 16:31 mark.

Ryan Oulahen closed out the scoring with 3:27 left in regulation when he called his own number during a two-on-one, beating Teslak from the left side to make it 4-0.

Teslak absorbed the loss despite making 44 saves while Larsson turned away all 27 he faced.

The Phantoms conclude their season-long five-game road trip on Sunday when they visit the Lake Erie Monsters in a 5:00 start. They'll return home to Philadelphia on Wednesday, January 14 for a 7:05 match-up with the Worcester Sharks.
