Brantford Bulldogs News Release

HAMILTON, ONTARIO. The Hamilton Bulldogs began a Michigan road trip with a 3-1 loss Wednesday night in Saginaw.

In a fast paced 1st period, the home town Spirit were shooting from everywhere, but Bulldogs goalie Nick Donofrio, in his first start since December 15th, was sharp giving up just one goal on the sixteen shots he faced in the opening 20 minutes. The Bulldogs tied the game 1-1 as Logan Morrison (3) finished off a nice play down low.

Both sides had chances in the 2nd, but Saginaw got the only goal on a power-play to take a 2-1 lead.

The Bulldogs put the pressure on the Spirit in the 3rd but couldn't find the equalizer as Saginaw got an empty netter with 5-seconds left to secure the 3-1 win.

3 STARS:

1) Bode Wilde (SAG) 2) Jake Goldowski (SAG) 3) Nick Donofrio (HAM)
