Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs News Release
BOSSIER CITY, LA -- The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs were able to execute much better on the powerplay at home on Friday night. Joe Ori was able to score his second even-strength goal in two nights to get the Mudbugs on the board against Austin.
The pace of the second period slowed considerably as neither team was able to put points on the board. The Mudbugs were unable to convert on four second period powerplay opportunities.
The third period proved to be ultra competitive with both teams grinding it out at a fast pace. Cam Abbott of the Mudbugs would score his first professional goal to give the Bugs a 2-0 lead. Austin would come right back to make it interesting, as Julian Smith scored on the powerplay. The Mudbugs finished with strong defense and held out for a one goal win.
