South Bend Silver Hawks News Release

South Bend, IN - In conjunction with the Arizona Diamondbacks, the South Bend Silver Hawks have announced that relief pitcher Brian Budrow has been promoted to high-A Visalia in an effort to help the Rawhide in the final playoff push.

Budrow was arguably the most consistent Silver Hawks reliever all season, leading the team with 40 appearances. He was 6-2 with a 2.60 ERA and was a perfect four-for-four in save opportunities. The right-hander from the University of Utah had 61 strikeouts and only 15 walks in 65.2 innings on the mound.

The South Bend roster currently stands at 24 active players plus one on the disabled list. The Midwest League allows for 25 active players.

The Silver Hawks open up the final home stand of the season tonight against the Fort Wayne TinCaps. Game time is scheduled for 6:30 PM Eastern Time on Fan Appreciation Night at the Cove. For more information about the Silver Hawks or to purchase tickets, please visit www.silverhawks.com.
