Budde Placed on Disabled List, Duff Recalled from Arkansas

SALT LAKE CITY (May 30, 2008) - The Salt Lake Bees announced today that the club has placed catcher Ryan Budde on the disabled list with a right forearm strain and recalled catcher Tim Duff from double-A Arkansas.

Budde, 28, has appeared in 29 games for the Bees in 2008, hitting .181 with five doubles, two triples, one home run and 16 RBI. The Midwest City, Okla. native was originally selected by the Angels in the 12th round of the 2001 draft.

Duff, 26, has appeared in 27 games for the Travelers, hitting .253 with three doubles, two home runs and 11 RBI. The Coatesville, Pa. native signed with the Angels as a nondrafted free agent in 2004.
