Bucks Hope Partnership with Hospitality House Is a Hit

Waterloo, IA - The Waterloo Bucks, members of the Northwoods League, have announced a partnership with the Cedar Valley Hospitality House during the month of July. For each Bucks hit at renovated Riverfront Stadium during the remainder of July, the Bucks will donate $5 to the Hospitality House.

"The Bucks are pleased to partner with the Cedar Valley Hospitality House this summer," said Bucks General Manager Dan Corbin. "With a first half North Division Championship and 378 hits as a team thus far in 2013, we're hoping to get a few more base knocks during our home games and raise some money for this worthwhile cause."

"Hospitality House is very honored to be able to team with the Waterloo Bucks to collect BUCKS to help those in a homeless situation," said Joni Hansen, director of the Hospitality House. "We provide many services on a daily basis to those in a homeless situation here in the Cedar Valley."

The Cedar Valley Hospitality House is an inter-faith volunteer organization which provides day-time shelter, support and encouragement to the homeless and those in need. The Cedar Valley Hospitality House opened at its current temporary location in December 2009. The mission of the Cedar Valley Hospitality House is to uphold the dignity an value of every human person by providing shelter, basic amenities, and a listening ear to individuals who are homeless or in need. The Bucks are currently on a four-day road trip, scheduled to start a two-game series in Willmar, Minnesota against the Stingers tonight. Waterloo will return home on Friday, July 12 to begin a six-game, five-day homestand, starting with a doubleheader versus the Alexandria Blue Anchors.
