Bryan Moore Named ECHL Player of Week

West Valley City, Utah - Bryan Moore of the Utah Grizzlies is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Nov. 23-29.

Moore scored two goals and added five assists for seven points in a pair of victories over Allen last week.

It marks the third time in the first seven weeks of the ECHL season that a Grizzlies player has been either Player of the Week or Goaltender of the Week. The Grizzlies are the first team to have two players win the league's Player of the Week award after Barry Almeida won the first week of the season in October. In addition, with Ryan Faragher's Goaltender of the Week award the first week of November, the Grizzlies are the first team to have three weekly winners total this season.

The Grizzlies enter their fourth-straight week atop the West Division with an 11-6-2-0 record.

The 21-year-old scored two shorthanded goals and had three assists in a 7-2 win on?Friday and picked up a pair of assists in a 4-2 victory on Saturday.

Under contract to San Diego of the American Hockey League, Moore has nine points (2g-7a) in four games with the Grizzlies while adding two assists in nine games with the Gulls.

Prior to turning pro, Moore tallied 141 points (59g-82a) in 181 career Ontario Hockey League games with Sarnia and Sault Ste. Marie. He also recorded 36 points (17g-19a) in 92 career game with Sioux Falls of the United States Hockey League.

On behalf of Bryan Moore, a case of pucks will be donated to the Utah Olympic Oval by Sher-Wood?Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 33,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.

Back To The Road

The Grizzlies will look to build on their 7-1-1-0 road record this weekend as they make their first-ever trips to Tulsa, Oklahoma and Allen, Texas.

The Grizzlies team with Salt Lake City Comic Con for Star Wars Night. The Grizzlies encourage fans to come in costume. The team's Star Wars uniforms will be auctioned off live after the game for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
