
Everblades Announce Several Roster Moves

ESTERO, FL -- The Florida Everblades announced Tuesday that defenseman Justin Agosta has returned to the team from the Charlotte Checkers of American Hockey League (AHL), while forward Carter Sandlak has been recalled by the Checkers as well. Additionally, forward Mike Aviani has been released from this professional tryout contact (PTO) with the San Jose Barracuda (AHL), but has been signed by the Iowa Wild (AHL) to a PTO.
Agosta, 24, returns to the Everblades from Charlotte where he has logged an assist in eight games played this season. Agosta has posted eight points (4g, 4a) in ten games played with the Everblades in his rookie campaign. Last season, Agosta posted 22 points (3g, 19a) in 39 games played during his senior season at Quinnipiac University (EXAC). The 6-3, 205-pound blueliner totaled 45 points (9g, 36a) in three seasons at the University of of New Hampshire from 2011-2014. The East Meadows, New York native is currently under an AHL contract with Charlotte.
Sandlak, 22, returns to Charlotte where he has gone scoreless in five games played this season. Sandlak recorded four points (1g, 3a) in six appearances in his recent stint with the Everblades. Last season, he registered four points (2g, 2a) with 69 penalty minutes in 44 appearances with the Checkers. In addition, the 6-2 205-pound winger logged three assists in three appearances with the Everbtades last spring as well. The Vancouver, BC native posted 48 points (24g, 24a) in 61 games played with the Plymouth Whalers (OHL) last season. Sandlak totaled 122 points during his five seasons played in the Ontario Hockey League (2010-2014) in stints with Guelph, Belleville, and Plymouth.
Aviani, 22, joins Iowa (AHL) after registering an assist in four games with San Jose (AHL). The second-year pro has racked up 15 points (8g, 7a) in 15 games played with the Everblades this season.
The Florida Everblades return to the ice Wednesday night when they travel to the CenturyLink Arena in Boise, Idaho to take on the Idaho Steelheads. Puck drop is scheduled for 9:10 p.m. Eastern time. Fans can catch the game broadcast on 770 AM or online by CLICKING HERE

When the Everblades score their first goal, you can throw the teddy bears onto the ice to celebrate! We will round up all of the teddy bears and stuffed animals and distribute them to local children's charities for the holidays. Beginning at 5:00 p.m. we will have the tailgate party featuring live music along with bounce houses and face painting for the kids!
