
IceCaps Sign Pither to PTO

BRAMPTON, ON - The Brampton Beast, ECHL affiliate of the St. John's IceCaps and Montreal Canadiens, announce today that forward Luke Pither has signed a Professional Tryout Contract (PTO) with the St. John's IceCaps.
Pither, 26, has been on fire with the Beast of late, scoring a shorthanded goal against the Wheeling Nailers on Saturday night before adding another two tallies against the Elmira Jackals on Sunday afternoon.
This season, he has suited up for 12 games for the Beast, recording five goals and five assists as the club's number one centre.
Pither is no stranger to the American Hockey League, having suited up for 129 career AHL games between the Adirondack Phantoms and Charlotte Checkers between the 2010-11 and 2012-13 seasons. He has recorded 17 goals and 31 assists at the AHL level.
The Beast are back in action at the Powerade Centre on Thursday night at 7:15 PM to face the visiting Adirondack Thunder. Single game tickets are now available, starting at $16.25. Trial Packs for the 2015-16 season are also available starting at $39.99 that include three game tickets.
