Brushfire to Perform at the Corn Crib

Normal, IL - The Normal CornBelters, presented by the Illinois Corn Farmers, will be bringing local music sensation, Brushfire, to perform following the 2012 State Farm Frontier League All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 11. After 12 games on the road, the CornBelters return home tonight at 6:30 p.m. to face the Evansville Otters at The Corn Crib.
The State Farm All-Star Game will kick off at 6:30 p.m., and gates will open to the public at 5:30 p.m. The Mid-Illini Credit Union post-game party, featuring Brushfire, will start soon after the Frontier post-game fireworks show which will immediately follow the game.
"We always love playing in the Bloomington-Normal area because that's where we are from," said Brushfire lead singer, Brett Gillan. "There's nothing better than baseball, hot dogs and fireworks at the Corn Crib in mid-July!" Brushfire is not your typical band, bringing energy to the crowd through their unique mix of country and upbeat rock music. The band recently beat out over 300 bands to win the "Battle for the Saddle" at The Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, TN. They have performed with other top country artists and bands such as Lady Antebellum, Jake Owen, Alan Jackson, The Band Perry, Josh Thompson and more! The band hopes to release their debut album by the end of the summer.
