
Brunnstrom Heads Back To Dallas

Cedar Park, TX - The Dallas Stars announced on Saturday that the club has recalled left wing Fabian Brunnstrom from the Texas Stars, Dallas' primary affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). The Texas Stars also announced that goaltender Charlie Effinger has been released.
Brunnstrom skated in two games for the Texas Stars without registering a point. The 24-year old had been placed on injured reserve retroactive to Nov. 7, when he suffered a shoulder injury. Brunnstrom was activated and assigned to Texas on Tuesday, Nov. 26. He has tallied seven points (1g, 6a) in 17 games with Dallas in 2009-10. The 6-2, 212-pound left wing has skated in 72 career NHL games, registering 18 goals and 18 assists. Brunnstrom played in the Swedish Elite League in 2007-08 for Farjestads BK Karlstad, collecting 37 points (9g, 28a) in 54 games. He was signed a free agent by the Stars on May 8, 2008.
Effinger dressed in two games, but did not see any ice time for the Stars. In six games with the Central Hockey League's Allen Americans, Effinger is 4-2-0 with a 2.34 goals against average and a .925 save percentage. The second-year goalie attended training camp with Texas.
After a three-game road trip, the Stars will begin a four-game home stand on Wednesday, December 9th at 7:30 pm against the Peoria Rivermen. Cedar Park Center will provide $2.00 domestic drafts and $1.00 hot dogs for the game against Peoria. Texas will host Rockford on Friday, December 11th at 7:30 pm, and then again on Saturday, December 12th at 7:00 pm. Friday, Cedar Park Center will host Hockey Puck Night and provide $2.00 domestic drafts and $1.00 hot dogs. The first 3,000 fans to arrive will receive an inaugural season hockey puck. On Saturday night, State Farm will provide its Family 4-Pack which includes four tickets, 4 hot dogs, and 4 soft drinks for $44.00. The first 2,000 fans to arrive at Cedar Park Center will receive a Texas Stars winter hat.
