Bulldogs Earn 500th Regular Season Win With 3-0 Shutout

Cleveland, OH - The Hamilton Bulldogs shutout the Lake Erie Monsters for the second time in as many days with a 3-0 win. The victory was the Bulldogs 500th regular season win in franchise history.
Following a scoreless first period, the Bulldogs opened the game's scoring at 15:46 of the middle stanza. Brock Trotter sent a backhand pass to David Desharnais. Desharnais fired a shot that was saved by Lake Erie starting goaltender Trevor Cann but Desharnais batted in the rebound. Ryan Russell added Hamilton's second goal at 16:23. Russell skated down the left side of the ice before snapping a shot that beat Cann over the right shoulder. The 'Dogs scored their third goal of the second frame at 18:38. Chad Anderson fed a pass to Brock Trotter, who skated into Lake Erie's zone. Trotter cut across the middle of the ice before releasing a shot as he was falling down. The puck slid along the ice before beating Cann on the right side.
Hamilton starting goaltender Cedrick Desjardins stopped all 32 shots he faced to record his second shutout of the season.
The Bulldogs host the Toronto Marlies on Friday, December 4th at 7:30 p.m. at Copps Coliseum.
