
Bruins fall to Hartford

The Providence Bruins and Hartford Wolf Pack began a home-and-home series on Saturday night in Hartford, with the Wolf Pack taking the decision, 3-2. The teams were tied 2-2 heading into the third period, before the Wolf Pack took the lead for good. The Bruins are in sixth place in the Atlantic Division with their 4-5-1-2 record (11 points).
Providence defenseman and co-captain Brent Thompson scored his first goal of the season on a first period power play, while center Patrice Bergeron netted his fourth of the year in the opening frame.
Bruin goaltender Hannu Toivonen was named the game's Number Two star, after stopping 47 of the 50 shots he faced. He is now 3-5-1 on the season.
The Bruins and Wolf Pack return to Providence for a game at the Dunkin' Donuts Center tomorrow at 4:05 p.m. Following the game, Bruin forwards Brad Boyes and Colton Orr will sign autographs on the Dunkin' Donuts Center concourse by Section 110.
