Hamilton, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs dropped a 3-0 decision to the Cleveland Barons Saturday evening in front of over 5,000 fans at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton. Goalie Nolan Schaefer stopped all 33 shots for the Barons who earned their second win versus the Bulldogs in four tries this season.

Cleveland opened the scoring just a minute into the game on a point shot by defenceman Christian Ehrhoff that squeaked through traffic and the legs of goalie Dan Ellis. It was the fourth goal on the season for Ehrhoff and third against the Bulldogs.

The Barons would make it 2-0 before the period was over on a goal by Shane Joseph. Winger Nick Bootland gloved the puck before passing it over to Joseph who then one-timed it along the ice into the net. The goal came at 16:15 of the first period.

In the second period the Barons added to their lead on a four-on-three power play. Garrett Stafford banged in a rebound that was the result of a scrum in front of the net for his third of the season. The goal came at the 8:11 mark of the second period.

Despite out-shooting the Barons 18-4 in the third period, the Bulldogs could not beat Schaefer and the score remained 3-0.

Nolan Schaefer stopped 33 of 33 shots and improved to 2-5-0 on the season while Dan Ellis stopped 21 shots in a losing cause for the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs' next action will take place on Wednesday, November 17th when they will host the Edmonton Road Runners at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton. Game time will be 7:00pm and fans can listen to all the action live at www.hamiltonbulldogs.com or AM 820-CHAM.
