WILMINGTON, Del. - The Cyclones' tendency for late-inning dramatics did not change on Tuesday. In their third extra-inning game in six affairs against Wilmington, Brooklyn emerged victorious, snaring a 5-4 win in 11 frames at Frawley Stadium.

Tied at four entering the 11th inning, LF Omar De Los Santos immediately sacrificed the automatic runner to third on a bunt. 2B Kevin Kendall followed with a sacrifice fly to left to put the Cyclones (10-14) back in front, 5-4.

Wilmington (12-14) threatened in the bottom of the frame, putting the tying and winning runs aboard. However, RHP Trey McLoughlin (2-0) induced a fly out to right, ending the game.

The 23-year-old posted two scoreless innings of relief, striking out a season-high matching five, en route to his second victory of the season.

Brooklyn jumped in front in the third inning. Kendall worked a one-out walk and moved to third with two away when a ball off the bat of C Kevin Parada was dropped in right field. CF Alex Ramírez followed with a run-scoring infield single, giving the Cyclones a 1-0 edge.

The Blue Rocks jumped ahead, 2-1, in the bottom of the third on RBI doubles from CF James Wood and C Onix Vega.

In the fifth, Parada and Ramírez started a Brooklyn rally with back-to-back walks. RF Stanley Consuegra subsequently hammered a double off the wall in center to tie at two.

3B William Lugo placed the 'Clones back in the lead, following the two-base hit with a go-ahead sacrifice fly to center. DH Jaylen Palmer added an RBI two-bagger to cap Brooklyn's three-run frame with a 4-2 advantage.

Wilmington managed to tie the game with runs in the sixth and seventh. A fielding error off the bat of 1B T.J. White chased home a tally in the sixth and RF Jeremy De La Rosa added a two-out, game-tying double in the seventh.

RHP Christian Scott permitted two runs over 2.1 innings in his first start back with Brooklyn. LHP Andrew Alvarez was chased with two out in the fifth after permitting four runs for the Blue Rocks.

Brooklyn and Wilmington will duel twice on Wednesday night, playing a doubleheader starting at 5:05 p.m. RHP Blade Tidwell (0-2, 5.40) is expected to get the ball for the Cyclones in game one, while RHP Jeffrey Colón (0-0, 6.46) is slated to take the hill in the nightcap. RHP Andry Lara (0-3, 7.29) projects to start for Wilmington in the opener and LHP Lucas Knowles (1-0, 2.00) is scheduled for game two.
