GREENSBORO, NC - Jase Bowen had two hits, a home run and four RBIs on Tuesday as Greensboro topped the BlueClaws 7-5 on Tuesday night at NewBridge Bank Park.

The loss drops the BlueClaws to 12-12 on the year, 4-3 on their 12 game trip. Greensboro (17-11) took the series opener and has now won six of seven meetings with the BlueClaws so far this season.

Greensboro's three run first inning was started by a Jackson Glenn RBI double with Jase Bowen singling home a pair. The BlueClaws struck in the second inning on a two run home run by Nick Ward, his second home run of the season.

Tsung-Che Cheng doubled home Greensboro's fourth run in the second to make it 4-2 before Rixon Wingrove doubled home a run in the top of the third. Greensboro struck again in the bottom of the third inning, this time on a two run home run by Bowen. Wyatt Hendrie added an RBI double in the third to push the lead to 7-3.

The BlueClaws cut the lead to 7-5 in the fourth inning on a two run home run by Marcus Lee Sang. It was his third home run of the season. That, however, would be the last of the scoring.

Casey Martin, who had a hit and a walk, stole his eighth base of the season for Jersey Shore.

Caleb Ricketts, the Phillies 7th round pick in last year's draft, made his BlueClaws debut. The left-handed hitting catcher went 2-5 and threw out two would-be base stealers in the first inning, one at third base and one at second base.

The teams continue their series at 11:00 am on Wednesday. RHP Gunner Mayer starts for Jersey Shore.
