
Broncos Release 2018-19 Regular Season Schedule

Swift Current, SK - The Western Hockey League has released the 2018-19 regular season schedule on Tuesday morning. The reigning WHL Champion Swift Current Broncos will kick-start their 52nd campaign in franchise history against the Saskatoon Blades in a back-to-back with the first game taking place on home ice at the Innovation Credit Union i-Plex on Friday, Sept. 21st before heading up north to battle the Blades again on Saturday, Sept. 22nd at the SaskTel Centre.
Last seasons Memorial Cup hosts, the Regina Pats will faceoff against the Broncos for their first meeting of the season on Friday, Oct. 5th at the Innovation Credit Union i-Plex.
The team will have their annual west coast trip early this coming season as they will clash against the Vancouver Giants on October 16th and wrap up the five-game swing against the Kelowna Rockets on October 23rd.
Swift Current will host the five U.S. Division clubs this season, including the Western Conference Champion Everett Silvertips on Saturday, October 27th at 7:00pm.
The Broncos longest homestand of the year is seven games, stretching from January 4th to January 18th.
Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada is coming to Swift Current on Saturday, February 9th. A regular season game between the Swift Current Broncos and Saskatoon Blades will take place, serving as a culmination to the four-day event and Saturday's day-long festivities.
Swift Current's longest road trip of the season is seven games at length ranging from February 26th to March 9th.
The regular season closes out with a home-and-home set vs. the Moose Jaw Warriors on Friday, March 15th on home ice and at Mosaic Place on Saturday, March 16th.
The Broncos home schedule is comprised of 25 weekend dates including 12 Friday games, nine Saturday games and four Sunday afternoon games. Four home games are slated for Tuesday while the remaining five games are slated for Wednesday evenings.
