PEARL, Miss. - Dylan Floro (2-4) threw seven innings and only allowed one run, but he was outshined by David Bromberg (2-2) as the Biscuits (20-17) were shutout by the Mississippi Braves (19-18) 1-0 Monday night at Trustmark Park.

The only run Floro allowed was in the third inning. Barrett Kleinknecht led off with a double. He was then sacrificed to third. Mycal Jones hit a chopper to second that Ryan Brett fielded and threw to the plate, but Klenknecht slid in safely. The run in the third would be the only run scored in the game.

Bromberg retired the first six batters he faced with four of his six strikeouts. He allowed a leadoff walk and back-to-back singles in the third inning, but Taylor Motter flied out to end the threat. Bromberg finished by throwing six innings and only allowing four hits for the win.

James Hoyt tossed two perfect innings of relief followed by Shae Simmons (9) in the ninth. The Biscuits put the tying run at second base with two outs, but Simmons struck out Jeff Malm to end the game and earn the save.

The 1-0 loss is the fourth time the Biscuits have been shutout this season.

Cameron Seitzer led the way with two of Montgomery's four hits.

Game four of the series is Tuesday night at 7:00. RH Roberto Gomez will make his AA-debut for the Biscuits while it will be J.R. Graham making his second start of the series. Graham started the series-opener, threw 16 pitches before he was lost after an hour rain delay.
