Birmingham, AL - The Birmingham Barons dropped game three of their five-game series against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos Monday, falling by a score of 7-0 in front of 5,152 fans at Regions Field.

Pensacola wasted no time in scoring the game's first run, getting a leadoff home run by Rey Navarro against starter Myles Jaye (0-5, 5.49) to take a 1-0 lead. Theywould go on to score single runs in each of the first four innings to take a 4-0 lead. Jaye would allow four runs on six hits while striking out four and walking three over 5.0 IP.

Pensacola would tack on two more runs in the sixth on a two-run single by Navarro andanother run in the seventh on an RBI double by Devin Lohman, increasing thelead to 7-0.

Blue Wahoos starter Jon Moscot baffled the Barons throughout the game, allowing just six hits and striking out six over 7.0 shutout IP.

Michael Earley and Miguel Gonzalez accounted for four of the Barons' seven hits on the day, finishing with two hits apiece.

With the loss, the Barons fell to 15-22 on the season while Pensacola improved to 17-21. The Barons will look to pick up a series victory on Tuesday as they send LHP Scott Snodgress (1-2, 5.45) to the hill against RHP Michael Lorenzen (2-1, 1.73). First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM CDT.
