
Dayton to New Orleans; Manzueta joins Suns from Jupiter

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Miami Marlins announced a pair of transactions that impact their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Suns roster prior to today's games against the Mobile BayBears at Bragan Field at 11:05 a.m.
Left-handed relief pitcher Grant Dayton has been transferred from the Suns to Triple-A New Orleans. Dayton pitched in 11 games for the Suns, going 0-1 with a 1.10 ERA along with three saves. Dayton only allowed two earned runs in 16 and a third innings of work.
In a corresponding move, right-handed relief pitcher Jheyson Manzueta has been transferred from High-A Jupiter back to Jacksonville. Manzueta was just with the Suns, and he went 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA in two relief appearances, only allowing a run in four and two-thirds innings on the mound, and he earned the victory last night over the Biscuits.
The Suns roster now stands at 25 active players and a revised roster is attached.
Sunday's scheduled nine-inning game will be resumed on Monday morning at 11:05 a.m. ET. 30 minutes after the completion of the first game, a second game will be played at Bragan Field, with game two being a seven-inning contest.
Monday will be a Celebration of Reading Day at Bragan Field, where school kids from all over the Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia area are invited to come out to Bragan Field and show their school spirit and support for reading for a chance to win some great prizes.
