Bridgeport Sound Tigers Announce Roster Moves

BRIDGEPORT, CT – The American Hockey League's 2001-02 Regular Season Champion and Eastern Conference Playoff Champion Bridgeport Sound Tigers have announced a pair of transactions. Forward Marcus Paulsson has been returned to his junior team by the New York Islanders, the Sound Tigers' National Hockey League affiliate, and Forward Alex Menard-Burrows has been released.

The Sound Tigers will open training camp this week practicing at the Milford Ice Pavilion Tuesday through Friday at 10:30 a.m. and playing a pair of preseason games Saturday at 7:05 p.m. on the road versus the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Sunday at 4 p.m. versus the Philadelphia Phantoms at the Milford Ice Pavilion. Tickets for Sunday's game are on sale at the Milford Ice Pavilion with information available by calling 203-878-6516. Practices are open to the public free of charge.

The Sound Tigers will open the 2002-03 regular season when they visit the first-year Binghamton Senators on Friday, October 11th and host the Norfolk Admirals on Saturday, October 12th at 7:05 p.m.
