Saturday, October 12, 2002 vs. Cleveland Barons

Time: 7:30 p.m. at Van Andel Arena (doors open at 6:30 p.m.).

Tickets: Approximately 2,000 available at The Zone (Van Andel Arena store or Rivertown Crossings Mall kiosk) and all Tickets PLUS outlets, including West Michigan Meijer stores. Prices: $5 (advance purchase only), $10, $12, $16, $20, $25 Giveaway: The first 10,000 fans will each receive a commemorative white t-shirt, courtesy of Nextel and Meijer. Fans are encouraged to wear the t-shirts as part of a unique pre-game show featuring black lights inside the arena.

National Anthem: The national anthem will be performed by Alto Reed, saxophone player for Bob Seger's Silver Bullet Band and occasional performer of the anthem at Joe Louis Arena.

Pre-Game: A special pre-game ceremony will celebrate the debut of the five-year affiliation between the Griffins and Detroit Red Wings. The Griffins will raise their third consecutive division championship banner, commemorating their 2001-02 West Division title. First Intermission: Youth hockey scrimmage, featuring the bantam Griffins.

Post-Game Autographs: Six Griffins players will sign autographs in the stands for 15 minutes after the game.
