
Seven Players Assigned To Crunch

Syracuse, NY (September 30, 2002) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets assigned the following players to Syracuse:

Tim Jackman Right Wing
Darche, 25, appeared in 63 games last season with Syracuse, tallying 22 goals, 23 assists and 26 penalty minutes. He scored his first NHL goal on November 10 against Boston. A native of St. Laurent, Quebec, Darche was signed by Columbus as a free agent on May 8, 2000.
McDonell, 23, appeared in 72 games with the Crunch last season, recording 18 goals, 13 assists and 122 penalty minutes. A native of Williamstown, Ontario, McDonell was acquired by Columbus in an August 16, 2000 trade with Detroit for a sixth round draft choice in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
Bellefeuille, 24, appeared in a team high 75 games with the Crunch last season, recording 11 goals, 19 assists and 33 penalty minutes. He made his NHL debut November 27 against Phoenix and recorded his first NHL point two nights later vs. St. Louis. A native of Framingham, Massachusetts, Bellefeuille was signed by Columbus as a free agent on May 31, 2000.
Manning, 23, appeared in 35 games with Syracuse last season, recording 1 goal, 4 assists and 16 penalty minutes. A native of Red Deer, Alberta, Manning was acquired from Calgary for a 5th round pick in the 2001 Entry Draft on June 24, 2001.
Goehring, 24, appeared in 15 games with the Crunch during the 2001-02 season, posting a 5-6-3 record, a 2.49 goals against average and a .908 save percentage. In 23 games with Dayton (ECHL), Goehring posted a 11-9-3 record, a 2.24 goals against average and a .920 save percentage. A native of Apple Valley, Minnesota, Goehring was signed as a free agent on May 7, 2001.
Pandolfo, 23, appeared in 38 games with Boston University last year, recording 22 goals, 18 assists and 22 penalty minutes. A native of Winchester, Massachusetts, Pandolfo was acquired along with the 30th selection in the 2002 Entry Draft from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for Columbus' second pick, 20th overall, on June 22.
Jackman, 20, appeared in 36 games with MSU-Mankato last season, recording 14 goals, 14 assists and 86 penalty minutes. A native of Minot, North Dakota, Jackman was Columbus' second pick, 38th overall, in the 2001 Entry Draft.
The Crunch's Express Mart Opening Night is Saturday, October 19 against the Binghamton Senators. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a mini Championship Banner.
