LAKEWOOD, NJ - Phillies pitcher Brett Myers will continue his rehab with the BlueClaws on Sunday, at the team's 5:05 game at FirstEnergy Park. Myers had hip surgery to replace a torn labrum on June 4th.

He joins JC Romero as the second Phillies player to rehab this year with the BlueClaws, and Pedro Martinez also threw a FirstEnergy Park bullpen session.

Myers last pitched for Hi-A Clearwater on Thursday, throwing a shutout inning while striking out the side and allowing two hits.

He was 4-3 with a 4.66 ERA with the Phillies prior to his injury May 27th, and is 73-63 over an eight-year Major League career, all with the Phillies.

Myers becomes 12th Phillie to rehab with Lakewood. Previous rehab appearances in Lakewood included Cole Hamels in 2006, plus Ryan Howard and Shane Victorino (separately) in 2007.

After the game, the BlueClaws will auction off the "red jerseys" worn by players and coaches this season, with all net proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. In addition, jerseys worn (and autographed) by Ryan Howard, Cole Hamels, Shane Victorino, and JC Romero will also be included in the auction.

Tickets are still available by calling 732-901-7000, in person at the BlueClaws Box Office, or online at BlueClaws.com.
