(WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK, Lexington, Ky.) Carlos Franco's two-run homer in the fourth inning gave Rome the lead, and the Braves made that one-run margin stand up in a 3-2 victory over the Lexington Legends Tuesday night.

The Legends took the lead with two runs in the bottom of the third inning. Chad Johnson was hit by a pitch and then moved to third on a double by Dex Kjerstad. Johnson scored on a wild pitch, and Kjerstad came home on an infield single by Kenny Diekroeger.

Rome's Sean Godfrey led off the top of the fourth with a home run to cut the lead to 2-1. Jake Schrader drew a walk, and after Ross Wilson flied out, Franco homered to right center field, putting the Braves in front 3-2.

Michael Swanner (4-1), who relieved starter Chris Diaz at the start of the fifth inning, got the win. Diaz struck out eight batters in the first four innings. Legends starter Luke Farrell (1-10) took the loss.

The Braves have won the first two games of the series, which concludes Wednesday night. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
