The Senators returned home on Friday, and in front of 3,484 fans they fell to Trenton 8-2. The fans didn't enjoy the outcome of the game, but they did enjoy the post-game fireworks show. The Senators committed a season high three errors, while Trenton pounded out ten hits and scored eight runs. Anastacio Martinez started for the Senators and for the second straight outing, lasted just three innings.
Robin Jennings homered for the Senators, his second of the season, but the Sens didn't have much beyond his first inning home run. Trenton took full advantage of all their base runners to score two runs in four different innings to cruise to their 15th win in 17 games.
Jason Jones picked up his second win for Trenton going into the seventh inning.
Game two of the season is Saturday night at 6:05pm with RH TJ Nall on the mound for the Senators against LH Chase Wright for Trenton.
