NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (November 20)- Out of character best described the play of the Brahmas Saturday night on the road as they lost 4-1 to the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees on the road.
Wayne Savage received the start in goal for Texas, his first since November 5, and it was Killer bees forward Tyler Lehrke who knocked the rust off the rookie netminder with his two goal effort for the Killer Bees. Darcy Campbell and Aaron Lewicki also contributed to Rio's scoring brigade.
Jason Krischuk's shot from the point kept the Brahmas from being shut out in the game in the third, but it wasn't enough as they fell 4-1. Rio's Juliano Pagliero made 33 saves in net.
Texas concludes their road trip Tuesday evening in Odessa to face the Jackalopes before returning to the NYTEX Sports Centre for Military Appreciation Nights Wednesday. For more information regarding the special discounts and festivities next week, please call the Brahmas Box Office at (817) 336-4423 or visit www.brahmas.com.
