NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TX - Texas was unable to get the job done Saturday evening in Louisiana, losing 5-1 to their I-20 rivals Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs.

After giving up a goal in the first period to Simon Mangos the Brahmas defense collapsed in the middle frame allowing three goals, the first within :27 seconds of the opening faceoff. Brahmas forward Dylan Stanley tallied Texas' lone goal in the game with assists from Matt Burto and Sean Hurley.

Scott Reid entered the 4-1 game in relief for netminder Wayne Savage and allowed one more Mudbug goal in the third for a 5-1 final. The Brahmas struggled, shooting just 18 shots on goal for the night and went 0-6 on the powerplay.

The Brahmas return home Sunday afternoon to take on the same ‘Bugs for a 4 pm faceoff. For ticket information to the I-20 rivalry, please contact the Brahmas Box Office at (817) 336-4423 or visit www.brahmas.com.
