March 1, 2008 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Fort Worth Brahmas News Release
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (February 29)- As each game proves to be more important than the next, the Texas Brahmas defeated the Laredo Bucks 4-2 Friday putting them back in a playoff position with only 11 games remaining in the regular season.
Goals from Jordan Cameron, Blair Manning, Justin Kinnunen and Scott Sheppard allowed the Brahmas to keep their playoff hopes alive. Texas goaltender David Cacciola saw plenty of action, especially in the opening period as he and the Brahmas penalty killing unit had to shut down seven Buck powerplays.
Cacciola finished with 26 saves of 28 shots, earning his 21st victory of the season. Texas went 3-8 on the powerplay but were outshot by Laredo 28-20.
Texas will return home with a 31-20-1 record for a Northeast match against Bossier-Shreveport at 7:05 PM at the NYTEX Sports Centre. For ticket information please contact the Brahmas Box Office at (817) 336-4423.
