RENO - Reno Aces right-hander Archie Bradley (@ArchieBradley7) has been awarded Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week. The weekly honor is his first in the PCL and fourth of his career, with the previous three all coming in 2013.

In his lone start of the week on Saturday, Bradley hurled eight shutout innings in Reno's 3-1 win over the Omaha Storm Chasers, the most innings he's tossed in his career without allowing a run. He scattered three hits, walked three and struck out nine, giving him a then-PCL high 47 whiffs. He currently ranks second in strikeouts behind Albuquerque's Jeff Hoffman (49).

Bradley also is among PCL leaders in strikeouts per nine innings pitched (1st, 10.40), batting average against (2nd, .191), wins (T-2nd, 5), ERA (3rd, 1.99) and WHIP (5th, 1.08).

The Oklahoma native has lasted six-plus innings in six of his seven starts, and he has rung up six or more batters in five of the seven. The Aces are 6-1 in Bradley's outings thus far, six of which are quality starts.

The 23-year-old joins teammates Peter O'Brien and Braden Shipley in taking home PCL weekly honors this season. Since Reno's inaugural 2009 season, no Aces team had had two pitchers named as the PCL Pitcher of the Week on separate occasions, until Bradley joined Shipley today.

In two Major League spot starts with Arizona this season, Bradley is 1-0 with a 7.84 ERA.

The Aces hit the road for an eight-game road trip beginning tonight at New Orleans. Reno returns home for an eight-game homestand starting May 31, with Las Vegas and Salt Lake coming to Greater Nevada Field. Ticket packages are on-sale now at www.renoaces.com or by calling (775) 334-4700.
