Bradenton, FL - The Marauders (32-22) nearly delivered a second straight shutout, picking up a 5-1 win over the Miracle (25- 29) at LECOM Park on Thursday night. Bradenton remains 1/2 game out of first place. RHP Bret Helton (W, 3-0) pitched six scoreless innings and received early run support from 1B Will Craig's fourth home run of the season in the first inning. Craig's home run accounted for the first two runs, and an inning later Bradenton scored two more when CF Casey Hughston delivered an RBI triple then scored on a single from SS Cole Tucker. RHP Sam Street and RHP Jess Amedee each pitched a scoreless inning. The Miracle tallied their lone run in the ninth on a bases loaded hit batter against RHP Yunior Montero.
