Booyah Fall in Kokomo

Green Bay Rockers News Release

KOKOMO, Ind. - After trading runs in the latter stages of the ballgame, the Green Bay Booyah fell in Kokomo to the Jackrabbits, 3-2, on Saturday night.

Both starting pitchers did well in limiting the offense. The Jackrabbits held a 1-0 after the third inning and the score would stay that way until the seventh inning. A Max Wagner (Clemson) solo shot to left field tied things up at one in the top of the seventh.

The tie wouldn't last long however, as Kokomo responded by scoring once in the bottom of the seventh. In the top of the eighth, the Booyah showed fight as a base hit by Nadir Lewis (Princeton) scored Kaden Hollow (Dixie State) to even things up again.

However, the Jackrabbits would answer right back with a run of their own in the bottom of the eighth to take a lead and the Booyah were not able to answer again despite the tying run getting to second base.

Logan Lee (Northwood) pitched six innings, allowing four hits, one unearned run, two walks while striking out five.

The Booyah will end this three-game road trip on Sunday in Kokomo. The Booyah will start Ben Hart (Dixie State). The Californian will be making his third start of the summer. He is 0-1, pitching 9.2 innings, allowing nine hits, nine runs, seven earned, three walks and six strikeouts. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
