Express Lose Two Games to the Larks

A crazy round of events took place this Thursday and Friday as a rain delay drove our Thursday outing into Friday, therefore making it feel like a mini double-header. In the games combined, both beginnings looked very promising as nothing went downhill until late. The killer in the first game was the 7th inning 6 run tear by the Larks that drove the game to a final score of 10 to 2. There were no real standout performances to speak of in that one; however, a much more clinical and exciting game was put on in Friday's action to follow.
It was definitely a batter's outing under the Friday Night lights as a combined 18 hits amounted. A back-and-forth battle led by the bats of Dallas Baptist's Max Blessinger and Illinois-Chicago's Ryan Lin-Peistrup led the Express to 10 of those hits, but between the slight hiccups of 2 errors and a hard-hitting Larks squad, the Express went down 8 to 5 in a hard-fought battle.
Outscored 18 to 7 between 2 games, the Express has some redemption to claim this weekend as we host the Larks for 2 more games, including a Father's Day Venue on Sunday. With that said, we hope to see you there as we strive to tack on a few more wins here at Carson Park.
