Battle Creek Battle Jacks News Release

Green Bay, WI - In the last road game of the season, Battle Creek fell short to the Green Bay Bullfrogs 5-2 at Joannes Stadium in Green Bay.

After two scoreless innings, the Bombers got on the board first with a sacrifice fly from Daniel Rockett in the top of the 3rd. Green Bay quickly responded with an RBI double by Collin Shaw in the bottom half. An RBI single by Dillon Moyer gave the Bombers their second lead of the game in the 4th, but again Green Bay responded. Shaw doubled in another run, and Brian Celsi recorded an RBI groundout to put the Bullfrogs up 3-2 in the 5th. In the bottom of the 8th inning, Green Bay padded their lead with two insurance runs against Brian Heldman.

For the second consecutive night, Battle Creek struggled to get the big hit. After getting six base hits against Green Bay starter Dylan Mendoza, the Bullfrog's bullpen held the Bomber's offense at bay. They just recorded one base hit over the final four innings. Battle Creek returns to C.O. Brown Stadium for the final six games of the season, beginning with a three game set with the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. First pitch Tuesday night is at 7:05 ET.
