JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Four BlueClaws pitchers combined on a two-hitter in a 4-1 win over Winston-Salem on Wednesday night. The win came one night after the BlueClaws held the Dash to one hit, marking the first time since at least 2005 that the BlueClaws gave up three hits over two consecutive games.

The BlueClaws opened the scoring in the first on an RBI groundout by Rudy Rott. Bryson Stott, who homered on Tuesday, brought home Chris Cornelius with an RBI double in the third to put the BlueClaws up 2-0.

After Winston-Salem got a run in the fifth, the BlueClaws tacked on two more in the seventh. Cornelius' SAC fly made it 3-1 and Hunter Markwardt brought in a run on a bunt single with two outs to give the BlueClaws a 4-1 lead.

BlueClaws starter Adam Leverett (pictured) threw 3.2 scoreless innings with four strikeouts. Blake Brown came on in the fourth and got the last out, but did allow a run in the fifth.

Jhordany Mezquita (1-1) came on in the sixth inning and walked the first two batters he faced, but then retired the next nine. He was credited with his first win of the season. Victor Santos threw a scoreless ninth to earn his first professional save.

Stott had two hits in the win for Jersey Shore. Markwardt extended his BlueClaws hitting streak to six with his bunt RBI single in the seventh inning.

The teams continue their series on Thursday. Tickets are on sale online .
