BlueClaws to Host Jersey Auction, Nine Innings for Nature on August

LAKEWOOD, NJ - While the August 15th BlueClaws game against Delmarva will begin at 5:05, the fun begins early and ends late! The jam-packed day includes the team's third annual Nine Innings for Nature program and a post-game jersey auction to benefit the American Cancer Society.

Nine Innings for Nature, presented by New Jersey Natural Gas and Renewal By Anderson, is a pre-game festival where vendors will help fans "Go Green." The festival starts at 2:30 pm and will continue inside the park when the gates open at 4:00.

Vendors include: Corbin Solar Solutions, Trinity Solar, Four Point Heating & Solar, PNC Bank, Renewal By Anderson, New Jersey Natural Gas, Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Research Reserve, Barnegat Bay Partnership, and Earth Groomers.

There will also be inflatable rides, hot dogs, and soda, plus free ice cream.

The BlueClaws will wear special-edition jerseys that day which will be auctioned off live after the game, courtesy of New Jersey Natural Gas. All proceeds from the jersey auction will benefit the American Cancer Society.

ACS is selling picnic tickets to raise additional funds for the game at $24.95 adults & 16.95 children and can be ordered by calling ACS at 732-818-3517 ext.2322.

Further, members of the BlueClaws Kids Club, presented by United Teletech Financial, can throw out a first pitch on the field before the game, a benefit of membership. Kids Club members should check in outside the ballpark beginning at 3:45 pm.

The BlueClaws are in their 10th season of providing family fun and affordable entertainment at the Jersey Shore. They have led the South Atlantic League in attendance in each year of existence and will defend their South Atlantic League title in the playoffs in September.
