RENO, Nev., February 28, 2015 - Talib Zanna scored 33 points with 27 rebounds to lead the Oklahoma City Blue to a 119-96 road win over the Reno Bighorns on Saturday. Zanna's performance was one rebound shy of the NBA D-League single-game record and marked the most boards in an NBA D-League game since 2010.
Seven Blue players scored in double figures, including three with double-doubles. Maurice Sutton recorded 13 points and 13 rebounds and Semaj Christon totaled 12 points and 10 assists. Marquis Teague scored 12 points and dished out seven dimes.
Frank Gaines led the bench's scoring efforts with 17 points, six assists and three rebounds in his Oklahoma City debut. Dane Miller added 11 points and seven assists and Rodney Williams finished with 10 points.
The Blue held Reno to 6-of-26 shooting in the first quarter to jump out to a 35-19 lead. Zanna had a double-double by the end of the period with 11 points and 11 rebounds in the first frame.
After entering halftime with a 14-point lead, Oklahoma City continued to outpace Reno and took an 84-71 advantage into the fourth. The Blue led by as many as 26 in the final quarter en route to its fourth win in its past five games.
Oklahoma City's defense held Reno, who entered Saturday averaging 134.4 points a game, to 96 points on 31.8 percent shooting. On offense, the Blue (21-16) distributed a season-high 36 assists.
Reno (14-23) was led by Ra'shad James with 26 points, five rebounds and three assists.
